A motor vehicle consists of essentially nine (9) basic
systems working interchangeably to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of
the motor vehicle.

Just like we have various systems in the human body such as the digestive system, respiratory system etcetera, we have various distinct units in a motor vehicle that all work as a coherent whole.
The basic systems are:
- Power Unit
- Transmission system
- Suspension system
- Steering system
- Electrical system
- Braking system
- Fuel system
- Cooling system
- Lubrication system
Some Auto Scholars consider the Air-conditioning system
as a major system too; but it is obvious that a motor vehicle can still perform
its primary functions without the Air-conditioning system. Hence, it is tagged
as an auxiliary system.
Though this various systems have different constructions
and principles of operation, one may not work effectively without the other.
We shall consider these separate systems in our
subsequent articles.
Thanks for taking time to treat the various automobile systems. Kindly treat more systems at your earliest convenience.
ReplyDeleteHi Mark, While you await more articles, I am working tirelessly to keep Motor Cores current and relevant. Thank you for always visiting.
DeleteIt is true that some Scholars consider the air conditioning system as minor; to me, it is not worth it since it meets the requirements of a "system".
ReplyDeleteHi Israel, two key concepts must not be ignored in the specification of auto systems - functional value and luxury; the later is what air conditioning system offer. That is why it is classified as an auxiliary system. Thank you for always visiting.
