Components of an Automobile body work - Do not drive if you don't know them!

In my last article, I explained the various types of Motor Vehicle designs at the most rudimentary level. Despite the fact that so many designs exist especially in this 21st, their body components are not too different from each other. These components shall be discussed more extensively in subsequent paragraphs.

This refers to the inner portion of the car where the driver and passengers normally sit. It consists of the driver’s seat, passenger’s seats, steering wheel, gear lever, clutch pedal, brake pedal, the dashboard, glove compartment, handbrake lever, seat belt etc.

This is the curved part that projects out of the side of the motor car above the wheel to serve as a mudguard.

This is an electrically operated device fitted to the windscreen with a rubber blade to wipe the windscreen clear of rain.

Roof
The roof is the curved metal sheet covering the top portion of an automobile. The roof prevents wind, bad weather and rain from getting into the interior of the vehicle.
